April 7, 2008 (work session)
This project has already had a public hearing. At this time, most of the discussion centered on the wetland mitigation plan. Originally, the applicant planned to create 3 separate wetlands, but changed that at the suggestion of Bruce Barber. Now the plan is to have just one created wetland to provide sediment trapping, but then set up an invasive species monitoring and control program. This involves monitoring for the presence of invasive species (e.g. barberry, multiflora rose, phragmites) in the site's wetland every 3-6 months and removing them manually if possible. The Conservation Board has approved this plan. The applicant was directed to put together a lighting plan for ABACA and Planning Board review.
